New baby calf at the rhino sanctuary Namibia.

In celebration of Otto’s arrival

Meet Otto, the newest addition to our rhino family.

In celebration of Otto’s arrival and his significance as the first-born bull calf, our team has bestowed upon him the name Otto – a real rhino name for those who are familiar with the Danish children’s book Otto the Rhino, where a little boy brings a rhino to life by drawing it with a magical pencil.

That’s not exactly how our Otto came into the world, although every newborn rhino calf at the sanctuary is like a little miracle. To us, Otto symbolises strength and power as well as the courage to be brave and bold, even when facing challenges. Otto is a little brave rhino, and we can’t wait to follow him on his journey.

Stay tuned for more Otto updates.
