We foster safe relationships between rhinos and humans.
To ensure that our rhinos thrive, we focus on establishing trustworthy relationships between our employees at the sanctuary and the rhinos. One of the many ways we do that is by having fixed feeding times and fixed feeding places around the sanctuary. In this way, the rhinos learn that they can count on humans and trust them. Our rhinos are wild and walk around in an area consisting of 7,400 hectares, but we have seen that a sense of stability for the rhinos help them thrive and feel safe – also when being close to humans.
