Tom Kjær

← Meet us

Tom Kjær is the founder of Rhino Sanctuary Namibia and brings five decades of international experience in construction, engineering, property development and investment across five continents.

Throughout his career, Tom has been involved in developing ambitious, long-term projects, combining an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on quality, responsibility and creating lasting value.

Over time, his focus has increasingly expanded towards conservation and the relationship between development and nature. This has shaped his belief that progress and preservation do not have to be opposing forces — but can, and should, strengthen each other.

As founder of Rhino Sanctuary Namibia, Tom has brought this philosophy into a long-term commitment to protecting wildlife and natural habitats while creating a sustainable foundation for their future.

His perspective is rooted in responsibility rather than short-term thinking. If something is worth protecting, it requires commitment, resources and the willingness to think in generations rather than years.

For Tom, Rhino Sanctuary Namibia represents exactly that: the opportunity to use a lifetime of experience in building and developing to help preserve something that should never be lost.
