Meet Daisy the rhino
Daisy is a young female white rhino living at Rhino Sanctuary Namibia. At around three and a half years old, she is still early in her journey, growing up in an environment shaped by protection, stability and the natural rhythms of the sanctuary.
She moves with a quiet curiosity, exploring her surroundings while staying close to the safety of the herd. There is a gentle attentiveness in the way she navigates the landscape. Calm, observant and gradually finding her place.
Daisy is the daughter of rhino no. 17, Bobbie Scott, and part of a generation that benefits from long-term protection and responsible conservation. With time, space and care, she has the opportunity to grow into the strength that defines the white rhino.
Her life reflects what sustained commitment can make possible. A young rhino growing up protected, with the chance to become part of the future of the species.
Legacy, responsibility and the mark we leave
Daisy carries a name chosen with intention.
She is supported by Per and Trine Appelon Larsen from FEINHAUS, who chose to partner with Rhino Sanctuary Namibia as an expression of legacy, responsibility and the impact we leave behind.
The name Daisy carries both an international tone and a distinctly Danish reference to the marguerite flower and to Queen Margrethe’s well-known nickname. A name associated with history, dignity and continuity.
For Per and Trine, the decision reflects a broader belief: that legacy is not only about businesses, results or material success, but about the mark we leave in the world.
Today Daisy lives safely within the sanctuary, protected from poaching and surrounded by the natural environment she belongs to. Her story reflects the power of people coming together across countries and industries to safeguard something larger than themselves.
Through their partnership with Rhino Sanctuary Namibia, Per and Trine contribute to ensuring that future generations of rhinos can continue to live and thrive in the wild.
