Meet Roman the rhino

Roman is a young male rhino enjoying his teenage years at Rhino Sanctuary Namibia. At 5½ years old, he has already settled comfortably into life at the sanctuary, moving with confidence among the other rhinos and making the most of every sunny moment.

Often found basking in open areas with good grazing and good company, Roman is calm, curious and unmistakably self-assured. Surrounded by a group of female rhinos, he moves through his days with ease, embodying the steady growth and natural balance that long-term protection makes possible.

Roman’s presence reflects a future built on stability, space and the freedom to simply be wild.

Why the Dahl family chose to support Roman

Roman is supported by the Dahl family of Miami, Florida, through their company Eglobal Freight LLC. In choosing to sponsor a white rhino, the family wanted to support a cause rooted in long-term thinking and shared responsibility.

They named their rhino Roman, a name chosen to reflect legacy, strength and heritage. Values they believe are essential when working to protect and rebuild populations of endangered wildlife.

Together with Rhino Sanctuary Namibia, the Dahl family shares a common vision: to protect, breed and increase the number of white rhinos, ensuring that future generations will continue to experience these remarkable animals in the wild.
